Lets address an issue.... we all have it.... it is the basket or drawer of old undies, bras, or in this case a disgustingly old sports bra. I managed to let all of my sports bras get dirty and when I reached in the basket where I keep them I was disgusted to even find that I still had this one at all. At first I did not give into the notion that I would wear this. After digging through the pile of dirty clothes and smelling the sweaty stench I was once again standing with the disgusting bra in hand. I put it on and thought.... this is not so bad... it will do.
After running my first mile on the treadmill I knew with out a doubt it was going straight to the trash once arriving home.... and now I am proud to say it is gone and I am doing laundry.
Moving on.... in other news.....
Hill Repeats - I completed 5 hot miles of these nasty hill repeats. Who in the world ever even came up with such and idea??
Massage - Booked a 1 hour massage that ended up being 2 hours and we only worked my legs! One knot behind my left knee and one knot in my right hip but other than that she said my quads were in good shape. I stretch and roll at least 20 - 30 minutes a day and still have the tightest hamstrings around.
Bike - no riding until the weekend. My bike is getting some TLC at the local bike shop. Planning on a good long ride for Sunday.
I will be hitting the trails for my 18 mile long run on Friday. After running with a fantastic group this past weekend I will just have to plug into the tunes and drive up the mountain.
Feeling good and enjoying the training... so far :)

That's funny! I know I have a few old sports bras that doesn't do their job, sitting in my drawer upstairs. I need to clean too...
Well, I cant relate to the sports bra, but I have several pairs of running shorts I should probably burn.
Enjoy Friday's long run
I'm too traumatized to comment...
YES, nicely put! I am off to clean out my sports bra drawer now.
Glad you are enjoying the Ultra training so far. And you're right, hill repeats blow.
Yeah girl! Great public service announcement!
Hmmm, what to say, what to say!!
Although I am sorry that I will not be able to run or bike with you guys this weekend. We will be loading up the truck and moving 2 miles down to the road to our new abode in Pelham Falls. (anyone want to help?......anyone, ........anyone?)
*crickets* (peep peep) :-)
Have a great run Robin. Be safe out there. It's supposed to be a scorcher on Friday.
I don't agree with you contention that, "we all have it" ... but, on the other hand, I have plenty of running gear that I won't wear for the same reason ... eneogh said.
Have a great week.
Nothing like airing your dirty...err clean laundry in public!
I cannot for the life of me imagine seeing you rake through your laundry basket sniffing your sweaty togs...you seem like such a nice girl ;-)
Oooohhhh you KNOW I have some gems up in this joint LOL.
That bra doesn't look too bad. I think I have ones that are in worse shape :-X Yikes!
And Wes is not foolin anyone. He loves it! :P
phew !! What up stinky sports bra wear-ERRR :-)
I do need to make a trip to Goodwill again and just get rid of some more clothes.
I think I'd be bragging that that teeny tiny little thing fit me. :D I was just thinking the same thing about the clean out. I ordered two more of the primo ones and will do some weeding out!
HA! I've done the "sniff test" before to see if I can get another wear out of it before it has to be washed.
Glad you threw it away!!
I hate it when my sports bras are all dirty, lol. You are funny.
LOL! I have one too many of those bras as well, Robin. Why are they so difficult to part with? The bands are shot, the color is dingy... yet there they are, still at home in my drawer. I think you may have motivated me to clean house!
PS- LOL at your comment on my blog. The SHORT race! Dude must have been smoking something!! ;p
I think the comments from your readers are funnier than your post!! They are cracking me up!!! Proud that you got rid of it!! That's an excuse to go and buy a new one!! Woohoo!
Be safe this afternoon!
Love ya!
Susan
Sorry, I had to skip the first part when I saw "sports bra."
Soo... good hill work, I often wonder myself who's bright idea that was.
You know how to treat yourself well!
i had one of those sportsbras ... it was responsible for all of my unfortunate wardrobe malfunction moments. finally met its demise in the garbage after the latest moment. good riddens!
I have a couple bras like that... I just need to toss them and get a few more. They're just not cheap!
I have an insane amount of bras/sports bras that need that same fate.
