Chef Scott

We both love to cook!!  Here lately Scott has been the master chef of new dishes.  Very healthy ones in fact!!  I have quickly became spoiled by this.  Sure we still love a nice cold beer (less in numbers these days) and sure we love some good pizza and fries (very rare treats) but our bodies are responding to eating better.  We have even gone as far as cutting eating out after 7:30pm at night.  Both of us are sleeping much better...  all most too good if there is such a thing.

On the training front:
After our ride with the Spinners on Sunday I tackled my long run of the week on Monday following work.  First mistake was not wearing my heart rate monitor and as a result my pace and effort was all over the place and far to fast for the distance.  I felt tanked at the end.

Second mistake was thinking I could go out and hammer a 29 mile ride with Jackie Tuesday after work.   DEAD LEGS!  I could just not get them going.  She basically dragged my butt along for the entire ride.  Why do I stack my biggest workouts all together and continue to think that my endurance level right now can handle it?  Not where I am at right now.... but where I am working towards being.  THANKS Jackie for helping your girl get home :)

Since you are taking the night off, tell Scott to give you a foot rub and a massage. Wes' orders :-D

I definitely notice how much better I feel when I'm eating right, but I have such a hard time getting into a routine with it. Thanks for the reminder. And visual. :)

Great job on the workouts!

Very nice presentation!! Go Scott. I have a cut off time for eating too. It helps me stay in check, otherwise I could eat cookies all night!

Yummy and a man that cooks! Lucky Girl.

I also stack heavy workouts together too. I'm feeling the affects from Sat, Sun, and Mon today. I slept and laid around all day instead of doing 12 in the cold rain. Bleck...

Some days those legs just won't do it. It's a mystery to me!!! Then the best thing is to just rest and eat some healthy delicious food. I miss cooking together and for thomas - we did it in CA all the time; it's very spiritual!
